Hello, Yekalaivan !
I have some advice for anyone who is looking to gain experience through extracurricular activities so that they could have an awesome Resume/CV or portfolio for college applications. The advice would be more specific if I knew what type of future studies the person would be pursuing, but I will try to make it general enough.
Begin with those activities that you are interested in. It can be in the realm of sports, art, music, computers, performing arts or the social sciences. As you know, colleges highly value applicants that show a strong background with extra activities, clubs. groups. Think about being on the school newspaper team or website contributor or the yearbook committee if your school has one. Another very impressive thing that colleges take notice of is to start and run your own group. If you're not a self-starter, ask a friend to go in on starting one with you. Think about volunteering in a nursing home - inquire if you can organize a pet day for the seniors and gather some friends to bring pets for the seniors to enjoy. If you start doing volunteer work, make sure it is something involving direct work with people, not something like answering phones or stuffing envelopes. Have as much interaction with the public as possible. Take something you're interested in and make it big. For instance, if you are an artist/painter, go around to galleries to ask about having your work in an art show. Know what the limitations of the specific volunteer work are before accepting the offer.
I would also advise that you start with these activities now and stay with them until you graduate. Colleges like to see that you've remained with things long term. I would also suggest that you think about taking some on line training that you can add to the Education/Training portion of your CV/Resume. Look on line for free opportunities for free trainings and classes.
This is certainly a very special, fun and exciting time of your life, filled with discovery. I do hope this has helped and wish you all the best !

Hi there! I would strive to have a variety of experiences on your resume and applications. If you have something that relates to your interests such as a club or a sport, definitely include those. Above that, I would try to have at least one service-related involvement such as National Honor Society or another volunteer-based organization/club. If your school does not offer a lot of these options, you can go to your local library or food bank and ask if they have any volunteer opportunities available. Any sort of volunteer work will look great on a resume. Also, if there is a club at your school that relates to the career you're hoping to go into, I would join one of those as well.
Overall, if you have a variety of experiences you should be golden!

I would suggest demonstrating that you're a versatile individual and a collaborative team member. Following this suggestion, it would be beneficial for you to participate in a sport or become part of a team. Moreover, explore if there's a club at your high school that matches your interests closely. Engaging in something you're passionate about is a fantastic way to contribute and it can also help you become a more versatile individual!

Hello,
College applications can be a little tricky with what they are looking for! I would recommend join the honor society, or other schools clubs (yearbook committee). Also playing a sport looks amazing on college applications.
I wish you the very best!
