I always look for something where it is so wonderful to do, that even if they did not pay you to do it, you would still do it anyway.

I usually found these jobs in public service, where I knew that I was making difference in lives and I could see the results. You can usually find these in the judicial and legal system, and in education. Wherenthe enjoymentnlevel is high and you can see long term effects of your work.

Great Question. Starting with what you know and love is a great start. Looking @ what others are doing and seeing who meets the criteria you outlined may also help. With so many job existing today, that didn’t exist when I was in high school, I recommend learning all you can do you can be ready for anything.

Fun might be different for you than others. Maybe you enjoy being outside and being a park ranger could work. Maybe you love talking to people and going into sales or customer service might make sense l.

Thank you for your question. If you have a career you have interest, you will have fun on it.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what you have interest, e.g. your hobbies, favorite subjects, etc. and identify the related careers
E.g. If you like music, would you like to be a singer, musician, music producer, music composer, musical actor, etc.
If you have interest maths, would you like to be an accountant, engineer, banker, financial analyst, maths teacher, etc.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine the careers you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in the college

Keep in mind, however, that sometimes our expectations don't quite match reality. A career might seem appealing from the outside or based on other people's stories, but it could feel entirely different once you're actually immersed in it. That's why I strongly suggest exploring as many areas as you're even slightly curious about or find enjoyable.

By doing so, you'll gain a more realistic understanding of what these fields are like, as opposed to what you've heard or read. Seize every opportunity to intern, visit sites, volunteer, interview professionals, or observe employees at work. You can also find a wealth of information on YouTube, which hosts videos on virtually any profession or job. However, remember that even these experiences may not provide a definitive answer, as your feelings could change once you're actually performing the job.

To give you an example from my own life, I initially studied electrical engineering, only to discover that it wasn't for me. I switched to a general major, unsure of my next step. By the end of the semester, I decided to consult an advisor. She asked me about my personal interests, regardless of whether they aligned with a specific program. This conversation led me to Engineering Technology, which immediately sparked my interest. Through this program, I was introduced to process improvement methodologies like Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma, which I found incredibly engaging. I eventually shifted my focus from engineering to process improvement, and I couldn't be happier with my decision.

To find an interesting job, first of all, the most important thing is to seek in your field/domain what you are good in. That is to say, maybe you are a student, try to list all the subjects you are good in, and then try to find some jobs related to them.

Perhaps you may love Mathematics, Science, Architecture, Philosophy etc? If so, start seeking jobs related to them, make research about them, follow additional courses or trainings.
