What inspired you to pursue a career in professional baseball, and how did you work towards achieving that goal?

I’ve always loved the game of baseball—growing up, it was something that brought my family together, and I felt a special connection to the sport from a young age. Watching my favorite players on TV, I dreamed of being in their shoes, playing at the highest level. As I got older, I realized that it wasn't just about passion; it was about putting in the work, refining my skills, and staying disciplined. To work towards that goal, I committed to training year-round, playing in as many games as I could, and constantly improving my physical and mental game. I also learned a lot from my coaches, teammates, and mentors who helped me refine my technique and develop a strong work ethic. It was about making sacrifices, staying focused, and always believing that I could make it to the next level.

Can you share a memorable moment or highlight from your career that had a significant impact on you, either on or off the field?

One of the most memorable moments was when I made my first appearance in a major league game. Walking onto the field for the first time, I had this overwhelming feeling of accomplishment and pride. All the years of hard work and sacrifices had led to that moment, and it felt surreal. But the highlight wasn’t just the game itself—it was the support I received from my family and teammates. When I got my first hit in the big leagues, the joy of hearing the crowd erupt was incredible, but seeing my family’s faces in the stands, knowing they had been with me through all the ups and downs, made it even more special. It really reinforced the importance of hard work, perseverance, and the people who support you along the way.

Hi Noah! I'm not a professional baseball player but my cousin was a first round draft pick to the San Francisco Giants and spent ~7 years on the team or on various minor league teams.

To get there, he started playing baseball basically year round by age about 12 or 13. In high school, he went to various camps over the summer and would play in local leagues (outside of his school district) during non-spring seasons, then would play for his school during the Spring. There was also a lot that went into college recruitment during this time -- at those camps or leagues, he was always meeting with coaches or staff from different programs, or doing special workouts.

When he got to college (he played at Boston College) he shared that practices were similar to high school but were more physically demanding. He also spent his summers playing in semi-pro leagues, and similar to college recruitment, he was actively meeting with people from professional teams throughout this team. He was eventually drafted after his junior year in college.

A memorable moment for me (and I hope for him too, haha) was seeing his first game at the Giants! It was great to cheer him on and see him achieve his dream!
