Hi and Good day I hope this finds you well. Now your question seems to be “How do I become a good supervisor on construction and/or mining jobs. Hands-on experience working in the trades of either one, knowing what each trade does and, if you want, take a few classes or web training on employee supervision. There is no easy path to being a Supervisor unless you have prior-military experience.
Hours you'd need to work is dependent on the job, the trade you are working in/with, location of the work, etc. Normally as a supervisor you'd be expected to put in 40 plus hours a week.
Hope that answers your question.

That’s an easy question to answer! ALL OF THEM! If you want to be a supervisor, you’re going to have to prove to your company how bad you want it, and that you’re the person that can inspire an entire crew to work overtime to get the job done.
