If you're considering a career in graphic design, you may be wondering which college can offer the best education.
While I can't say for certain which is the best, I can share my own experience at CalArts. The program was both immersive and enlightening, teaching me how to be innovative and resourceful with design. I learned to experiment with various resources, such as text, typography, and outside elements, to create inspiring designs.
However, being a graphic designer comes with its own set of challenges. From facing criticism and rejection to keeping up with the latest trends, it can be easy to experience creative burnout. Despite these challenges, graphic design can be a rewarding experience if you take the right steps to overcome these obstacles.
I hope my experience can help guide your own inquiries into the world of graphic design.

What is the best college for learning graphic design?
This is a tricky question! For other careers, like doctor or lawyer, there are more obvious answers, but graphic design is a little different. There are schools with renowned design programs, and I certainly don't want to take anything away from those, but more and more, careers that involve graphic design as a component also ask you to have knowledge of other topics for that specific role, topics such as marketing, or advertising, or how digital websites function, or even something like a history degree, if, for example, you want to work in The Smithsonian Institute's design department. Combine that with the fact that a designer's portfolio is much bigger factor in their career than where they went to school, I guess I would encourage you to be aware of the good design programs but know that you don't have to go there to be successful, and going to a school that is good in something else can also be advantageous!

I'll be honest, it's the fact that you are creating things. So you are starting with nothing, a blank canvas so to speak, and out of all the directions you can go, you are supposed to find the right answer! But it's also what makes it rewarding when you manage to actually pull it off!
