There are many options like we’re just given to you. I work in a private home.
I have friends who do styling of food for photography. The private sector is really picking up after COVID. You should have no problem choosing what you want to do

Dan’s Answer

There are a lot of avenues for culinarians! There are obviously restaurants, which are great learning experiences, but infamously have terrible work/life balance. Not to be confused with the food at hospitals/ schools/ nursing homes, independent and assisted living communities produce great food and are more likely to have predictable schedules, good benefits, and no late nights. I love the "mom and pops" independent restaurants and cafes as there's usually more flexibility and personal environment (could be a drawback if "mom and pop" are turds). Corporate restaurants are good for learning to read recipes and be organized, but you'll likely only learn those recipes. There are also food trucks (which are intriguing to me), personal chefs, and caterers which I don't personally have any experience with.

Sylvia’s Answer

Hi,
Chefs have the ability to work in many different environments. I've worked along side some great chefs over the years. Those environments include: hotels, entertainment venues, schools, hospitals, retirement or care facilities, even penal institutions.
Everyone has to eat and everyone enjoys tasty cuisine.
