Learning to code, whether in JavaScript or any other language, is a pretty cool journey with many paths to choose from. Nowadays, numerous colleges offer a wide range of courses in fields like computer science, software engineering, and web design. But don't worry if you can't attend college - the internet is brimming with resources, both free and paid, that guide you through various programming languages.
Two popular, free platforms are Codeacademy.com and freecodecamp.org. They offer comprehensive coding lessons that are perfect for beginners.
If you're willing to invest a bit, Udemy.com offers paid courses that are truly worth the cost. For first-time buyers, the courses are usually discounted heavily... so take advantage of that! Plus, they provide learning tracks to guide you on the right path for any specific discipline you want to master.
Consider exploring coding boot camps if you prefer a classroom-like learning environment. They've gained popularity recently, although their fees might be higher than online courses.
Personally, I suggest diving into "full stack" development courses. These all-inclusive courses equip you with the knowledge to create websites and web applications using the most popular technologies. With a special focus on JavaScript, you'll gain the versatility to build a variety of things - websites, web apps, mobile apps, desktop apps, smart TV apps, and more.
So, take the leap, and embark on this thrilling journey of coding! The main thing with any of these methods is to stay consistent and keep learning. It all won't make sense immediately - but stick with it, and the pieces will all come together.

Coding is a fantastic ability to possess, though it might feel a bit daunting in the beginning. I'd strongly suggest checking out Data Camp - it's an excellent place to get a grip on the basics. They offer starter courses for Python, SQL, R, and more. If you can get your hands on coding classes (like AP Computer Science in high school or beginner courses in college), I'd definitely say go for it!
