Grant’s Answer

Find a University or technical school and take an Industrial psychology and aptitude test. Be honest with yourself. Anything worth doing is going to take 5 years to do well. So commit to it and do it better than anyone else. Learn everything about it and then find your niche that you do better than anyone and then expand from there.

Debra’s Answer

Explore the subjects that captivate you in school and your hobbies beyond the classroom. Whether it's math or a foreign language that ignites your passion, don't hesitate to delve deeper. Consider visiting universities or workplaces related to your interests to gain a better understanding of what it takes to achieve your dream role.

Engage in conversations with your loved ones. Their insights about you might reveal perspectives you haven't considered before.

Consider volunteering in your field of interest. It's an excellent opportunity to experience the daily routine firsthand.

Remember, you're on a journey to success. Best of luck!

Rebecca’s Answer

Thank you for your question. Many students have similar question. Firstly, you have to find out what careers you have interest.
Below are my suggestions:
1. Think about what you have interest eg your hobbies, favourite subjects, etc and identify the related careers
Eg if you like music, would you like to be a musician, singer, musical artist, music composer, music producer, etc
If you have interest in maths, would you like to be an accountant, engineer, banker, financial analyst, maths teacher, etc
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counselor, your parents, etc
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in the college
Hope this helps! Good Luck!

Bob’s Answer

Hi, Mathias.

I am going to provide you with a twist on the normal answers I think you will receive to your pressing question.

Let the career find you. Remember, a career is simply one aspect of our lives; an important one to be sure, but still it is only a part of our makeup. The key aspect of life is self knowledge: who we are can often determine what we do.

The most successful and contented people are generally those whose vocations and avocations match, are in synch with each other. Simply put, do what you love, and you will be at your happiest and most useful to our world.

Now, this does not mean you sit idly by waiting for lighting to strike and your future career to flash in front of you in large letters written in the sky.

What is means is get involved in many activities, study many fields and disciplines, and with each day do this assessment: what do I love doing, and what am I good at? And why? Even keep a diary or a log so you can refer to it often and refresh your recollection.

Gradually, (and there is no set timetable; it will vary for everyone) a path for your life will emerge for you, and the career to help you along that path will emerge, clear as day!

So immerse yourself in life, get involved in activities, study relentlessly, and you'll see, your way to happiness and usefulness will converge, leading to the career where you can best be you!

I wish you great success and happiness!!!!!!!!!
