Hi Anthony,
Embarking on a journey to become a zoologist is an exciting adventure, and the time it takes can vary depending on your career goals. For instance, earning a bachelor's degree in Wildlife Conservation or Animal Health and Behavior typically takes about 4 years. This degree is a great starting point and provides the essential education needed to dive into the field of zoology.
There's a world of possibilities for your studies! You can pursue a degree in zoology, wildlife biology, or even a related field like natural resources. Alternatively, you might decide to major in biology and supplement your education with zoology and wildlife biology courses.
For those who aim to reach higher-level positions, a master's degree is usually required. And if you're dreaming big and aspire to be a leading expert in the field, a Ph.D. could be your path. Remember, every step you take brings you closer to your dream. Keep going, Anthony!

Hi Anthony - I don't have personal experience in this area but found this article about becoming a zoologist - https://www.bls.gov/ooh/life-physical-and-social-science/zoologists-and-wildlife-biologists.htm#:~:text=How%20to%20Become%20a%20Zoologist,D.%20to%20lead%20research%20projects. The Bureau of Labor Statistics is a part of the federal government and their publications are backed by research. I liked this one from indeed.com also - https://www.indeed.com/career-advice/career-development/how-to-become-a-zoologist.
It sounds like you will need an undergraduate degree for a entry-level job and perhaps more education for higher-level ones. This U.S. News and World Report shows colleges/universities that offer a Zoology/Animal Biology degree - https://www.usnews.com/best-colleges/zoology-major-2607. So you have a wide choice. I also read that Wildlife Conservation might be another major to select.
Good luck!
