What are your future goals in life?

My future goals in life are to complete my college egducation and get my Bachelors degree, get into graduate school and work my way to become a Clinical Psychologist. These are the biggest life long goals that I have set up to complete, and I am working immensely on trying to achieve them all. I have high hopes that I will get to that point in life where I am satisfied with what I’m doing and am going to be enjoying what I’m doing. In the mean time I also plan on having my own charity organization which will help those less fortunate in need, the homeless, funding low-income students on achieving their academic goals to get where they want, and to work worldwide on aiding the lower developed countries in providing them with they can’t receive such as food, clothing etc. I have an profound view on what I want my future to goals to look and I plan on fulfilling each one of them.

Hi Shanice!

That is a great question. It looks you are in the right path. Getting an education will definitely open a lot of doors in the future. One thing I do is when I set a long-term goal for myself I always break it down in smaller steps. This help me measure in a more realistic way how closer I get to my goal and more importantly reward myself along the way. Keep up the great work and be positive.

Alex’s Answer

I would say my goals change year after year as I get older. A lot of it revolves around not wanting to fully grow up yet, so I have a hard time with true long term goals. My biggest overall goal is to one day have my own business. This will hopefully be something that I built up, so I can really take pride and enjoy my life. This is a hard area and will take a lot of initial sacrifice. Then I also have enjoyment and success goals which go back and forth. The opportunity cost of what you do can really change your life.

Karen’s Answer

You have some awesome goals! Great that you are not only looking at where you can succeed professionally but also how you will personally contribute to those who are less fortunate.

I have found combining these types of goals brings much satisfaction. My future goal at this point in my life is to scatter kindness.

With every good wish!

Jordan J’s Answer

Shanice right now my big future goal is to become an airline pilot. I am currently working as a tax intern at PwC and also work at an Amazon warehouse. In short, I have these two jobs in order to fund my flight training that I am currently taking on the weekends. I have my 4 year degree already and am debt free so right now my overall focus is on my flight training. I will continue to work hard to make more money to pay for my flight training in the hopes of becoming a commercial airline pilot in the future; I always wanted to become a pilot since I was a young boy, so wish me luck.

Bavani’s Answer

You have great goals Shanice! Please focus on both professional success and personal contribution to the less fortunate.

My primary future goal is to be successful regardless of where I am and being success comes from your own satisfaction. You get that satisfaction when you help the children in need and hence I would definitely emphasis on funding low-income students on achieving their academic goals.

Good luck!

Bavani recommends the following next steps:

First comes professional success as completing college education.
Next comes having your own charity organization.
