Time Blocking is a great habit when managing multiple responsibilities. Especially because with a syllabus you have an outline - usually - of milestones that have been set for the course. So I'd suggest working backwards from there. Even more, utilizing office hours or any time you have to speak with the professor and ask them questions regarding expectations throughout the semester/quarter is helpful. Essential, you should ask yourself, " Where do I need to be each week? Each month? By the final/end of the semester?" And then plan step by step what you need to do to meet those goals. From there, you should time block based on educational time commitments and when you have work. Stay focused and stick to this schedule and you should be fine.

Balancing school and work can be challenging. But it’s possible to achieve – without losing your mind
- Get organized.
- Make sure you have some kind of organizer, whether it’s a fancy electronic calendar app on your iPhone or an old-fashioned, ring-bound agenda planner. Enter everything you need to do into it, even if it’s a weekly event you’d be unlikely to forget, like your Monday afternoon drama class....
