A social problem is any condition or behavior that has negative consequences for large numbers of people and that is generally recognized as a condition or behavior that needs to be addressed.

Examples can include:
1. The lack of infrastructure
2. Animal abuse
3. Shortage of schools
4. Bullying
5. Sexual abuse
6. Economic Deprivation
7. Political Corruption
8. Prostitution
9. Racial Discrimination
10. Unemployment

Social problems can be solved only when
a. Feeling that a situation can be corrected
b. The use of technological and rational knowledge and skill for correcting the situation.

I will send you these linksto get you started in your research of modern social problems in social work...this is a huge topic, you can do a lot of research online, watch the news, even read FB posts, blogs and tweets to learn a lot about modern social problems but it does require a lot of research. Try not to think of this as work or homework but a real life education for yourself...we live in very exciting times :)
