Real estate isn't just about selling houses anymore! It's a diverse field with a wealth of career opportunities beyond being a real estate agent. Today, real estate encompasses infrastructure assets such as wind turbines, solar farms, bridges, tunnels, pipelines, airports, and railways. Basically, if it's attached to the ground, it's part of the real estate industry!
To get a good grasp of this vast industry, consider taking courses that delve into its economics and history. But don't stop there! Broaden your knowledge by exploring subjects related to the industry, like accounting, tax, law, finance, economics, and engineering.
The real estate industry isn't just about buying and selling, either. It includes owning and operating properties, designing and constructing buildings, and investment by both the public and private sectors. The possibilities are truly limitless. So why wait? Dive in and explore the exciting world of real estate!

In addition to the core finance and economics classes which will be part of your degree, you should seek out courses that cover real estate law topics, land-use planning, ethics and environmental issues. Marketing and finance courses are especially important if you are interested in managing or owning a real estate company.
A bachelor's degree will also include a lot of core education courses that include English and other humanities and science courses. These courses are also vital to your education, as they offer the opportunity to expand your communication skills with new knowledge and insight. For instance, a geology course might inform how you assess land and an English course will help you write clear and concise proposals or marketing materials.
