Hi Aden, I would recommend reaching out to people already doing the job that you are interested in. You can use LinkedIn and other platforms to search people who fit this criteria.

John’s Answer

Sports Management encompasses numerous fields you might be interested in. A great starting point could be joining a local minor-league team in your vicinity. If you decide to pursue a Sports Management degree in college, make sure to collaborate with their placement office to discover additional internship opportunities. As you gather more experience, you'll be in a better position to pinpoint the specific area you'd like to concentrate your studies on.

Josef’s Answer

Hey! If you want to get into sports management I would recommend researching colleges that have a specific degree in this. If not I would try to pursue a business degree and try to apply early to internships within sports teams. They are always looking to hire!

Nathanael’s Answer

Hey Aden,
Sports Management is a relatively new field, so I would first look at colleges that offer Sports Management as a degree. Business/Accounting is another great option if your school does not offer Sports Management. While in school, I would highly recommend building connections in the sports world. This could include experts. working in professional leagues, amateur leagues, or college sports. Connections offer up opportunities in the long term for internships and full time jobs.
