Think of a job as an opportunity to solve a problem. The first step is to identify problems that are interesting/challenging/exciting for you, and for which you have the skills or are willing to learn. The next step is to research industries and companies that are facing those problems. These days, the highest paying jobs are in the medical and legal fields, as well as IT. Pilots and Flight Engineers are also among the highest paid.

Tech sales is a great field for high pay and a good challenge. If you have good people skills, a warm personality, and are a quick study - then you can go far in sales. Industrial Engineering is a great degree that opens many doors in this area.

You can also visit sites like Glassdoor to learn what it is like to work at different companies.


There are many other factors that may impact your enjoyment with a role: job security, professional development opportunities, company leadership, work life balance, opportunities for advancement, benefits, corporate social responsibility, etc.
