When is it too late to fill out the FAFSA for the 24-25 school year?
When is it too late to fill out the FAFSA for the 2024-2025 college year? I haven't out in my college application yet, and I'm not sure if I do the application before or after FAFSA.

Hello Lourdes! It's absolutely okay to finish your FAFSA before sending off your college applications. Just remember to include all the colleges you're considering applying to. Don't worry if you need to add more colleges later on, you can always update it. Just a heads up, the deadline for the FAFSA form for the Fall '24 semester appears to be 6/30/24. Wishing you all the best and exciting times ahead in your college journey!
Awesome! Thank you so much for information! <3

Hi Lourdes,
There are 3 different deadlines: the college deadline, the state deadline and the federal deadline.
June 30, is the federal deadline but that is for the academic year that has ended. So, the form for the 2023/2024 academic year is due by June 30.
The form for the 2024/2025 academic year is available from November/ December or so. The cut-off at your institution is likely much earlier than June 30, and that is for the coming year (2024/2025). The dates should be listed on the financial aid page of the institution. If you don't know yet where you will be going apply by the earliest deadline. You find more detail below.
I hope this helps! Good luck with your first year at college!

Every college website clearly lists the deadlines for the FASFA process specific to that institution. If you've already secured your acceptance to a college and initiated the process, rest assured, they will keep you updated via email about the steps you need to follow or any documents you may need to submit. Don't hesitate to visit the admissions office or seek advice from an advisor to ensure you've covered all bases. Remember, they're there to help you, so don't miss out on this opportunity to make sure everything is in order.

Hi Lourdes, the deadline for the 2024-25 FAFSA Federal application is June 30, 2025, at 11:59 p.m. Central time (CT). Just keep in mind that each State and college may have different timelines, so it's advisable to be mindful of the specific deadlines.
When I applied to college, I completed my FAFSA application for all the colleges I was applying to before submitting my college applications. Additionally, I've made updates to my FAFSA application for new schools even after I initially submitted it.
