Hello, Juan !
Considering a trade school or college will depend on what you'd like to do for your career. I would advise going to college so that you can have an Associates or Bachelors Degree that will take you far in the job market. It's always a good base to have and will mean a lot. Now is the time to explore trade schools and seek out different college opportunities and see which fits the best for your personal goals as well as the timeline you'd want to spend studying for a career.
If financial aspects are an issue, City College of San Francisco has no tuition and may be worth exploring further. Look into their Free City Program. That is for San Francisco residents. They also offer online learning and high school programs. They also offer a wonderful array of Tools and Trades as a major, such as Aircraft Maintenance Technology, Automotive Technology, Computer Design, Construction, Culinary Arts, Custodial Training, Electronics, Environmental Horticulture, Manufacturing, MET HVAC and Plumbing and Motorcycle Technology.
I have left some links for you below so that you can start exploring community colleges and vocational schools. In order for you to decide you will need to know what the schools are about, what they offer, what you'd like to spend financially and how long you want to attend college or a program. I would advise visiting the schools in person and getting a feel for the campus and even schedule an orientation and tour. You will than have the in person experience that will enable you to make a choice of what to do.
Take your time reading and watching the different videos of different schools to get an idea of what is offered as well as how it looks. Take your time, no need to rush. Something will definitely inspire you.
I hope that this was helpful and I wish you all the best !

Deciding whether to attend trade school or college is a decision that's entirely up to you. Think about the career path you wish to follow. Certain professions necessitate a college degree, while others can be pursued through trade school.
Reflect on your passion for learning - if you love the academic environment, college might be your best bet. However, if you're eager to jumpstart your career in a shorter time frame, a 2-year trade school could be the perfect fit. Don't forget to explore potential job salaries to ensure you'll be satisfied with your income.
Ultimately, this decision is all about what suits you best, and remember, both options are excellent paths to success.

Choosing between trade school and college ultimately depends on your goals and preferences. Consider factors such as your career aspirations, learning style, and financial situation. Trade school is great for hands-on skills and quicker entry into the workforce, while college provides a broader education and potential for advanced degrees. Think about your desired field, job market demands, and passions. Also, weigh the cost and time commitment for each option. You should definitely have conversations with professionals in your desired field or academic advisors for more knowledge and advice. As long as you're doing what you are passionate about, you will succeed - there is no wrong choice.

Hello Juan,
Choosing between trade school and college largely depends on your specific interests and career goals. Trade schools are designed to provide focused training for specific professions. So, if you're interested in becoming a pharmacist, x-ray technician, or radiologist, a trade school could be an excellent choice for you. On the other hand, colleges offer a broader range of study areas, making them a great choice if you're interested in fields like business. So, if you're leaning towards studying business, then the college path might be the best fit for you.

Juan - The first question to consider is what area interests you. Do careers in the field(s) require college or will trade school suffice. What can you afford for post-high school education and training. Trade school is a fraction of the cost of most four-year schools. You can also start working at your field and earning money sooner. Also, choosing trade school now doesn’t rule out getting a college degree at some point.
