Hi Samuel,

I would recommend University of Arizona, a school with very good reputation. They have architecture, architectural engineering and civil engineering as well as other engineering flavors. I love that you'd have all these construction-related disciplines together. Should be great for interdisciplinary projects.

There is a virtual campus tour that you can take, and then you should visit campus if you can to get a feel for the place and talk to some people.

I hope this helps! Good luck!

Based on the information from this website: https://architecture-colleges.com/bachelor/arizona, it seems that Arizona only has two accredited architecture schools. If your dream is to become an architect, these schools could be your stepping stones to success. So, why not take a shot and apply to both? You never know where you might get in. Once you're accepted, take the time to explore what each school has to offer and how well you can fit into their environment. Remember, every great journey starts with a single step. So, go ahead and take yours. Best of luck on your exciting journey towards becoming an architect!

Jacob’s Answer

I attended Arizona State university for my Architectural degree. In my opinion, the Bachelors degree in Architecture focuses on more of the design and theory side, not so much realistic (real world) or code related design. This Bachelors of science in design (BSD) degree is not worth the time or money. On the other hand the Masters program has two options, complete your four BSD, then continue the 2 year masters program, or go in with any Bachelors degree and apply for the 3+ Master program. The masters program at ASU is where you will get your money's worth. With that being said, look into UofA, they also have an Architecture program. Important fact for anyone trying to become a licensed Architect in the state of Arizona.......you do not need a masters degree or any degree to become an Architect. With a four year degree in Architecture you will need to document 3740 hours underneath a licensed Architect to document your hours. There are six categories you will need to complete hours in. Once completed you can apply to take the ARE. I hope this helps!
