Brandyn- there are a lot of jobs and business you could do that provide an environment with management, time flexibility, and variety. That's pretty broad. And similar.y, there are a lot of ways you can make anything you love to do work within those criteria. So the only relevant question is how interested are you in running my own excavation/ landscaping/ construction business? Before you answer, let's break it down. There's really two questions to answer or get clarity on. 1) would you be interested in excavation/ landscaping/ construction if it were NOT your own business? 2) What exactly is the activity you are wanting to do? I'm not clear on whether the business/job you are interested in is one of either excavation, landscaping, or construction, or if you are describing a service that includes all three. What exactly would you be doing? ANYTHING you enjoy doing is a good fit for you. The spices such as management, time flexibility, and variety can be made to fit what ever it is you LIKE to do. If you don't like the type of work, it's not going to work for you regardless of whether you get the management, time flexibility, and variety you prefer. Make sense?

Becoming an entrepreneur involves a combination of mindset, skills, knowledge, and action. Here are some steps to help you embark on your journey as an entrepreneur:

Identify Your Passion and Purpose: Start by identifying your interests, passions, and strengths. Consider what you love to do and what problems or needs you are passionate about solving. Your business idea should align with your values and personal mission.

Research and Validate Your Idea: Conduct market research to assess the demand for your product or service. Identify your target audience, understand their needs and preferences, and assess the competition. Validate your idea by gathering feedback from potential customers and testing your product or service in the market.

Develop a Business Plan: Create a detailed business plan outlining your business concept, target market, value proposition, marketing strategy, operational plan, and financial projections. A well-thought-out business plan will serve as a roadmap for your entrepreneurial journey and help you secure funding if needed.

Acquire Necessary Skills and Knowledge: Develop the skills and knowledge necessary to succeed as an entrepreneur. This may include skills such as leadership, communication, negotiation, marketing, financial management, and problem-solving. Consider taking courses, attending workshops, or seeking mentorship to enhance your skills and expertise.

Secure Funding: Determine how you will finance your business venture. Explore options such as self-funding, bootstrapping, crowdfunding, loans, or seeking investment from venture capitalists or angel investors. Develop a financial plan and budget to ensure you have the necessary funds to launch and grow your business.

Build Your Network: Networking is essential for success as an entrepreneur. Build relationships with other entrepreneurs, industry professionals, mentors, and potential customers. Attend networking events, join industry associations, and participate in online communities to expand your network and gain valuable insights and support.

Take Action: Finally, take action and launch your business. Start small, test your ideas, and iterate based on feedback and results. Embrace challenges and setbacks as opportunities for growth and learning. Stay persistent, adaptable, and resilient as you navigate the ups and downs of entrepreneurship.

By following these steps and staying committed to your vision, you can become a successful entrepreneur and turn your business idea into reality. Remember that entrepreneurship is a journey, and success often requires patience, perseverance, and continuous learning.

Based on your interests and preferences for management, time flexibility, and variety, starting your own excavation/landscaping/construction business could be a good fit for you.

Management: Running your own business involves taking charge and making decisions about various aspects of the operation, including project management, team leadership, and financial planning. If you enjoy being in control and leading others, owning a business in these fields could be fulfilling for you. This is what I think you should do:

Time Flexibility: As a business owner, you have the flexibility to set your own schedule and work hours. While starting a business requires dedication and hard work, you have the freedom to manage your time in a way that suits your preferences and lifestyle.

Variety: The excavation/landscaping/construction industry offers a wide range of projects and tasks, providing you with the opportunity to work on diverse projects and face new challenges regularly. If you thrive in an environment with variety and enjoy learning new things, this industry can offer you the excitement and diversity you seek.

Overall, starting your own excavation/landscaping/construction business aligns well with your desire for management responsibilities, time flexibility, and variety in your work. It can be a rewarding and fulfilling venture that allows you to leverage your strengths and interests while pursuing your entrepreneurial aspirations. Be prepared for the challenges and hard work that come with owning a business, but also enjoy the freedom and satisfaction that comes with building something of your own.
