Congratulations on being accepted!!

Once you have decided on which school to attend you must accept their offer in writing. You should have received a form to sign to confirm your attendance. Once that's done they'll mail you additional information regarding Freshman Orientation which is usually a 2 or 3 day event on campus. You'll also receive information about tuition due dates, financial aid, room and board, the move-in date, etc. Basically, your inbox and mailbox will fill up quickly so it's important to read all the notices you receive from the school because there will be due dates to turn in items.

Freshman orientation is extremely important to attend because not only will all of your questions be answered regarding the above list, it will also be a time to socialize and network with the people you'll be interacting with over the next 4 years.

Above all, stay on top of your grades! Your acceptance is contingent upon the school receiving your final transcript and they can rescind their offer if your grades drop.

K’s Answer

Hello ,you have an intriguing question. You should start by goal mapping long & short term goals. List how you will achieve the most prioritized goals. What subjects best interest you? Take a little time to get to know who you are? what you want out of life? And what you can handle? Being able to answer those questions will not only help you better prepare for college , but will help you focus on your chosen pathway.

K recommends the following next steps:

Prepare yourself on being a great note taker/ listener
Show up to participate in class& do your best
Pick classes that help your career goals in life
Mingle with peers a diverse mind is needed along the way
Challenge yourself what you didn't grasp today use resources (tutor, professor contact or study groups) to help you know it tomorrow.
