James Constantine’s Answer

Dear William,

Check out www.careervillage.org, a platform that makes career guidance and information accessible for everyone, especially those who are under-represented. It provides recommendations for specific educational and training institutions that can help you shape your career path.

If you're a prospective student, you might need information about how long a course will take, what kind of salary you can expect in the field, and what further study options are available. This site is a great resource for that.

As you progress in your career journey, graduating and gaining professional experience, you'll have the opportunity to share your wisdom with the next generation of students. Your advice could be invaluable to them.

Over the years, records are maintained on the site, serving as a valuable reference for all - students, parents, and guardians alike.

Stay blessed!
James Constantine Frangos.

Paige’s Answer

It's a cool opportunity to ask questions directly to working professionals. I've seen a lot of students ask questions about specific industries like what skills it takes to succeed in them or what career paths might come out of a specific major. Also seen some good questions about college return on investment.

Kelly’s Answer

This platform serves as a secure hub where students can freely inquire about specific majors, institutions, and job aspects from professionals and fellow students. Throughout my journey here, I've become a part of communities like the schools I've attended, aiming to guide students who might feel lost and unsure of where to find answers. I share my personal experiences in my field and my years of navigating the academic world. I often reflect on the "I wish someone had told me" moments when dealing with the various facets of choosing a major or school, and the external influences that one might face along the way. This is distinct from conversing with a school's marketing representative, as the professionals here are not trying to convince you to join their university or company for monetary gains. Consequently, students experience less pressure and gain real-world insights regardless of the outcome, as most responses come from volunteers striving to improve their communities. I recommend this site to all students, from grade 6 up to doctoral levels. On the professional side, I consistently encourage my colleagues and network to explore this incredible platform.

Michael’s Answer

This is a place for people trying to figure out where they are going and get career advice from people who have been out there. Sometimes, if you don't even know what career you want, us 'old folks' can help you make a decision, much in the same way an English professor did for me decades ago. I am thankful to her to this day for her career guidance. I wouldn't be where I am without her sage advice.
