Your next step would depend on your individual circumstances and preferences. Here are a couple of options you might consider:

Job: After completing your BA, you could seek employment in a relevant field, such as healthcare administration, medical office management, or as a medical assistant. Working in a healthcare setting would provide you with valuable experience and exposure to the medical field, which could be beneficial when pursuing a career as a Physician Assistant (PA) later on.

Internship: Alternatively, you might consider applying for internships or volunteer positions in healthcare settings. Internships can provide hands-on experience and allow you to network with professionals in the field. Look for opportunities in hospitals, clinics, or medical offices where you can gain exposure to the duties and responsibilities of a PA.

Once you have gained some experience and are ready to pursue a master's degree in Physician Assistant studies, you can start researching accredited PA programs and begin the application process. Keep in mind that admission to PA programs is competitive, so it's essential to maintain a strong academic record, gain relevant experience, and prepare thoroughly for any required entrance exams, such as the GRE. Additionally, consider reaching out to admissions counselors at PA programs for guidance and advice on the application process.

In my opinion, if you want to become a PA, it's better to continue your master's straight away. It would be a good idea to start searching for your graduate school before you obtain your BA. As a recent BSc graduate who wants to continue for master's myself, i've realized that you shouldn't wait for your diploma certificate to come out but instead start applying for your master's program because you can upload it later.

Monina’s Answer

Choosing between a job and an internship can be tricky, but it all boils down to your personal goals. If both options are open to you, I'd recommend taking the job. This will give you a firsthand experience of what working life is all about. However, if only an internship is on the table and finding a job seems tough, don't hesitate to grab it. This opportunity can be a stepping stone, allowing you to dip your toes into the professional world. Who knows, you might stumble upon a new path and decide to switch your career direction completely.
