Take technical courses and or enroll into a degree program to get the basic knowledge of the technology you are interested in. I would also recommend to get a part/full time job in the field of your interest to gain hands-on experience and learn from the people who are applying their technical knowledge in creating/fixing/maintaining/etc. what we use routinely.
