Thank you comment icon Excellent question! Everyone said the good Grace to meet the amazing philosopher, Joseph Campbell. His bottom line was. “Follow your bliss. “ do that. That is my recommendation. Follow your progress. Carry-on. And plan your days and your weeks according to what interests you. I know I had to work two jobs. At a gas station and as a waiter. Just to get through college. But I made sure that I built those gigs around what I wanted in my universe in my theater.. So go forward. Follow your bliss. And let everything else around you. Accommodate to what you want. You will find your happiness. Thank you. Marylou DiFilippo
Thank you comment icon When I was in a college, I tried to find a pat time job related to your study. For you, any part-time job requires Japanese language skill or has opportunities to work with Japanese ppl. I was opposite of you. I am Japanese and studied English. I found jobs where I could use my English skills or I could work with English speakers. Masato Koizumi
Thank you comment icon You are so grateful. I see your schedule which is so tough. You are young, but take care of your health. I saw you have the subject of Japanese, which is impressing for me. Your question is how you manage to make the time, is it right? My simple answer is that all we have 24hours. Not less not more. So when you should do something, what is priority for you? Now you feel the hard experience to manage that, but someday which would lead you to solve more difficult situation. l have sure you could get over that. 敬太 新美

The best thing you can do is create a schedule and stick to it! Start utilizing a calendar, and set times for specific tasks. It can look something like this:

8:00am = Wake up
8:15am = Breakfast
8:30am = Leave for class
1:00 - 4:00pm = Classes/Study
7:00 - 10:00pm = Work

From there, you find gaps in between your schedule. Break down everything you do, even the mundane things like commuting and eating. If you wake up at 8:00, start with how long it takes for you to do your morning routine. Is it 30 minutes? Is it an hour? Then move on from there. Remember to give yourself time to get each place, like if your university is an hour away, you'd want to leave at 12:00pm. Don't schedule anything at 12:30 (just an example).

And finally, give yourself time for your hobbies and to relax. It can be super stressful if you're always on the go. You got this!

Start by categorizing tasks based on their significance and deadline. Construct a checklist and proceed to tackle each task, ticking them off as you complete them. This method not only ensures task completion but also gives a sense of achievement.

Balancing time can be challenging, especially when you have multiple commitments like studying, working, and pursuing personal interests. Here are some tips to help you manage your time effectively:

1. Prioritize and set goals: Identify your priorities and set clear goals for each area of your life, such as Japanese studies, programming, music production, and your part-time job. This will help you allocate time and effort accordingly.

2. Create a schedule: Develop a daily or weekly schedule that includes dedicated time slots for each activity. Be realistic about how much time you can allocate to each task and try to stick to the schedule as much as possible.

3. Optimize your study time: Make the most of the time you have for self-study. Break down your study sessions into smaller, focused blocks of time. Use techniques like Pomodoro Technique (working in focused intervals with short breaks) to maximize productivity.

4. Utilize downtime: Look for pockets of time throughout the day where you can squeeze in some studying or practice. For example, during your commute, lunch breaks, or waiting times, you can review flashcards, listen to language podcasts, or read articles related to your interests.

5. Delegate and ask for support: If possible, delegate some tasks or responsibilities to others to free up more time for your studies. Additionally, don't hesitate to ask for support from friends, family, or colleagues when needed.

6. Maintain a healthy work-life balance: It's important to take care of your physical and mental well-being. Make sure to allocate time for relaxation, exercise, socializing, and hobbies. This will help prevent burnout and keep you motivated.

7. Stay organized and minimize distractions: Keep your study materials and resources organized so that you can easily access them when needed. Minimize distractions during study time by turning off notifications on your phone or using website blockers to limit access to distracting websites.

Remember, finding the right balance may require some trial and error. Be flexible and willing to adjust your schedule as needed. Regularly evaluate your progress and make necessary changes to ensure you are effectively managing your time and achieving your goals.
