Something we don't talk about if the fact that a great career when you are 20 might look radically different that a great career when you are 30, 40 , etc. Look for things you enjoy doing and aim to find work using skills you have. Once you have something, you want to keep improving, growing and learning. The best way to get the a great career is to find something, do a great job, keep improving and be aggressive in promoting yourself to those above/around you.

Theories serve as a foundation for ethical practice when dealing with a client of a different culture because therapeutic theories allow for modification when need be and at times it may take a modification or a tweek there to align with the clients cultural group. It is important to focus on the client as an individual that has a diverse background culturally. Here is an example of where a theory can help you not accidentally put your world views or even the way that you feel about something onto the client. The theory or theories you have chosen will guide you. Although your own morals and values and how those morals and values interplay with professional standards are important. You still need to remain culturally sensitive as well as be aware of ethical implications that could happen. Using a theory also allows for you to be able to to demonstrate adherence to an accepted process of decision making. If you are questioned about your decision making or goal setting you can use the original framework of the counseling theory to show empirical data.
