Must be a citizen of the United States
Must be between 21 and 36 years old
Must be in great physical condition
Must have a bachelor’s degree or three years of experience. College credits and experience may be combined to meet this requirement.
Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
Allow a background investigation
Pass physical and other tests

in addition to going on the USM website and applying, I recommend looking up your local office and introducing yourself to the Agent in Charge or someone on their staff. You could also inquire with them about local recruiting events. USM often hires from the military and local law enforcment so pursuing opportunities there also creates pathways to USM.
