There are several ways you can start studying and exploring architecture from all over the world and its historical significance.
1. Research online: The internet is a treasure trove of information when it comes to architecture. Look for websites, blogs, and online resources that provide historical context, architectural styles, and notable structures from different time periods and regions. You can also find virtual tours of famous architectural landmarks.
2. Visit libraries and bookstores: Check out books, magazines, and journals that focus on architecture and its history. Look for titles that cover different architectural styles, famous architects, and significant architectural periods. These resources can provide you with in-depth knowledge and visual inspiration.
3. Take online courses: Many online platforms offer architecture-related courses that you can take at your own pace. These courses can provide you with a structured learning experience and cover various aspects of architecture, including history, design principles, and construction techniques.
4. Visit architectural landmarks: If possible, visit architectural landmarks in your area or plan trips to cities known for their architectural significance. Exploring these structures in person can give you a deeper appreciation for their design, historical context, and cultural importance.
5. Connect with professionals: Reach out to architects, architectural firms, or local architectural organizations. They might be able to provide insights, mentorship, or guidance on how to pursue a career in architecture. Networking with professionals in the field can also give you a better understanding of the industry and potential career paths.
Starting a career in architecture requires a combination of education, practical experience, and passion. Consider reaching out to a career counselor who can provide personalized guidance based on your interests, skills, and values. They can help you explore different educational paths, such as architecture programs at universities or specialized architecture schools.
I hope these suggestions help you begin your journey into the world of architecture!

Hi Bianca,
Great job on taking the first steps towards understanding architecture! In addition to conducting research and networking with industry experts, it's important to reflect on what specifically sparks your interest in architecture. What aspects of it do you find appealing? How does it captivate your senses? By answering these questions, you can gain a better understanding of your career direction.

I suggest getting ten interesting books (to you) at the library about architecture and reading as much of them as you can make yourself do, and then go from there.

First. Take another look at Henry's answer.
You have to begin with what you find interesting. What "speaks" to you and in what way?
One must come to understand what architecture involves. Right down to drafting. Have you done any drafting? Understand the mechanics of it?
At this point in time you appear to be musing about it ("always been interested in it"), but not really involved. Exactly what interests you?
Have you discussed this with a counselor at school? Did a search and contacted professional people? Either academics or practitioners?
I have always been interested in architecture. But understood I do not have the talent to practice it.
And it began with an interest with a particular architect.
I was ten years old. Third grade. Our teacher took us on an outing in a school bus. After about an hour we stop at an interesting (different) looking house. With an old white haired man standing by the door of our bus. As we got out he shook each of our hands and said "How do you do. My name is Frank Lloyd Wright and thank you for coming to my home."
I ended up reading everything I could find out about him. His architectural philosophy. His personality.
I just knew that if I ever became an architect he would be my model. But I don't have the talent.
Even today, when I look at new architectural work I compare it with his work.
If you get the opportunity, go to NYC. Fifth Avenue in the high eighties. The Guggenheim. Frank Lloyd Write always wanted to do a spiral. That's it.
So! Instead of just musing about all this, it's time to find a focus and that will give direction on where to go from there.
