I am exploring the ways that my skills and my values align. I value family work and balance and my strongest skills are related to working with people; these include oral communication written communication and collaboration. Can you help me identify careers where both the values and these skills align ?

Balance is possibly the weakest of the three values but the other two are incredibly important to me as a person.

I would also encourage you to explore non profit organizations as there are many available in your area - Homeboy Industries, Boys & Girls Club, City of Hope. etc. There's a vast array of career paths in these sectors, from community outreach and operations to philanthropy and beyond.

There are several kinds of employment options for you. Social work of some kind would allow you to use all of your strengths, as well as working in Human Resources. There are also fields working with developmentally disabled such as writing programs to help them with everyday living or going out into the work force. Something else to consider would be working in the Human Rights field. The interesting thing about that is it allows you to help get laws passed with the politicians that can pass said laws, so there's a lot of collaboration used there also. Psychology is another field. Below are my suggestions:
1. Do you have interest to become a journalist, public relations, media, teacher, social worker, etc.? You can find out more people related careers online.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counselor, your parents, etc
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subjects in colleges
