Carlene’s Answer

I wouldn’t use the word time consuming but yes it does take a lot of energy and commitment. First you need to have your prerequisites done before you can apply for Hygiene School. After you are accepted depending on the program you are in it is another 2-3 years. Classes are Monday-Friday usually a full day. I was still in my mid 20’s so I quit my current job and my parents supported me financially through school. There were some classmates who needed to work but they only worked weekends. I spent my weekends studying for about 8 hours a day. There will be weeks where you’ll have 3-4 exams and it’s not even a finals week. Though it was the hardest 2 years it was totally worth it in the end.

Absolutely! Joining a dental hygiene program can be pretty demanding, both in terms of time and effort, not just physically but mentally too. So, it's super crucial to carve out some time for activities that recharge your batteries and bring joy to your life.

Savannah’s Answer

Yes, it’s a full time program! But it usually takes 3-4 years of schooling and it’s well worth it. Programs can range from 10k-80k, and you typically can make 75k+/year starting out, up to 120k/yr with experience.
