Is my GPA considered good?
Hello! I'm finishing my second year of highschool and I'm not very happy with my GPA.
(In my country, we have a GPA scale from 1-5.)
Both this and last year my GPA was 4.41 (/5) and I don't know if that's acceptable for Italian universities.
I'd like to study Biology (either Marine Bio or Genetics), I'm in my school's Model UN club and I'm going to start volunteering in an animal shelter soon, but I can't help but worry my GPA will be the reason I get rejected for a certain uni...

A GPA of 4.41 out of 5 is certainly commendable! As a general guideline, on a scale of 5, a GPA above 4 is seen as superior and truly impressive. A GPA ranging from 3 to 4 is considered average and satisfactory, but there's always scope for enhancement. However, a GPA below 3.0 might pose some difficulties in terms of standing out amongst other candidates.
When the scale is 0-4, a GPA between 3.0 and 4.0 is viewed as above average and highly commendable, a GPA between 2.5 and 3 is seen as average and might create hurdles in maintaining competitiveness, and anything below a 2.5 indicates a need for improvement.
However, don't let your GPA dishearten you. There are numerous other ways to demonstrate your abilities and potential contributions to a team or organization. Consider your GPA as a useful tool to identify areas where you can strive for betterment and growth.

Italian GPA=Serbian GPA×6
Plugging in the value:
Italian GPA=4.41×6=26.46
Therefore, your converted Italian GPA would be approximately 26.46.
- Other requirements
To apply for your dream Universities might require more other than GPA. E.g., Language Proficiency - Many programs are taught in Italian, but there’s an increasing number of English-taught programs.
