How do I pursue internships while attending college?

I am planning on being a STEM major in college and want to ensure that I get real-life experience in my field while still attending college. How do I achieve this?

While STEM is not my field, I did manage to find some internships on campus and remote to enhance my skills as a college student! My university had a website called Handshake, which anyone can use, which is very helpful in finding student jobs and internships. Here's a list of websites where you can find STEM internships and jobs for students: LinkedIn, Handshake, Indeed, Zip Recruiter, Internships.com to name a few. Try these and let me know how it goes!!
