If you're thinking about your future career, start by reflecting on what brings you joy and what holds personal significance.
Think about your strengths and the skills you are good at.
Explore various jobs and industries that pique your interest.
You can also apply the concept of ikigai(you can download ikigai template from Pinterest), which involves finding the intersection of what you love, what you're good at, what the world needs, and what you can be paid for.
This framework can guide you in identifying a career path that not only aligns with your passions and talents but also meets practical needs.
Set clear goals for yourself, both short-term and long-term, to help shape your journey.
Connect with professionals that are in your preferred industry.
It's natural for your interests and aspirations to evolve over time, so embrace the process of exploration until you discover a path that resonates deeply with your ikigai. Trust that this exploration will lead you toward a fulfilling career that integrates your passions and aspirations.
I hope this helps. Best of luck on your journey.👍

Thank you for your question. Many students have similar questions.
Below are my suggestions :
1. Think about what you have interest, e.g. your hobbies, favourite subjects, etc. and identify the related careers
E.g. If you like music, would you please to be a musician, musical artist, singer, music composer, music producer, etc.
If you have interest in maths, would you like to be an accountant, engineer, banker, financial analyst, maths teacher, etc.
2. Find out more on these careers and determine what you have interest
3. Speak to someone who are working in these careers. Seek guidance from your mentor, school career counsellor, your parents, etc.
4. Shortlist 1-2 careers you would like to pursue
5. Explore the entry criteria of relevant subject in colleges
Hope this helps! Good Luck!
May Almighty God bless you!

Dear Evelyn,
The future may be full of surprises and uncertainty, but you have the power to shape it. Here are some steps to help you navigate your journey:
1. Self-Understanding:
Visualize your ideal future. Imagine balancing your life roles at a certain age. When you graduate and start working, how much time do you want to dedicate to your job each day? How much time for personal hobbies, family, and friends? Sketch out a plan for your perfect 24-hour day. Consider your ideal work environment. Do you prefer a setting where everyone focuses on their own tasks, or one where collaboration and creativity thrive? If you find this challenging, reach out to career counselors or advisors for guidance.
2. Make a Priority List:
Determine what’s most important to you. Are you willing to compromise on work hours? Would you prefer longer hours initially to focus on career growth, or prioritize hobbies and personal time? Decide what you value more—higher pay or a positive work culture? This list will help you understand what you can compromise on at different stages of life and what you must have.
3. Utilize Resources to Understand Different Careers:
Armed with your priority list, tap into your support network to explore careers that match your criteria. Talk to family, relatives, and friends. Make use of school resources, attend career talks and fairs, and speak with alumni and faculty members. Utilize online resources like Indeed or LinkedIn—use whatever tools you feel comfortable with.
Remember, these steps are just the beginning. Embrace this journey of exploration and discovery with enthusiasm and confidence. Your future is yours to create.
Have fun on your explorative journey!

Unfortunately, no one can tell you that. You need to decide for yourself what you want to do. You can choose whatever you, like. But ask yourself a few questions. 1.) Do I enjoy doing this work? 2.) Can I do this work? 3.) What education and training do I need to do this work? 4.) Does this work make me happy? 3.) Does this work pay me enough money to live? As you answer these questions you will find your answer.

Hello Evelyn,
As we journey through life, our thoughts often drift towards the future. As you progress in your educational voyage, you might find yourself questioning your decisions about your future. This can be quite daunting and anxiety-inducing. However, I encourage you to revel in the present moment. Your curiosity will lead you to explore and learn new things. It's perfectly normal not to have a clear vision of your career path until later in life. So, take a breath, enjoy the present, and look forward to the exciting possibilities that lie ahead. Remember, there's no rush. You're doing great! I appreciate your question and wish you nothing but the best. Keep going, Evelyn, you've got this!

Hello Evelyn,
Figuring Out Your Future Career
It’s completely normal to feel unsure about your future career path, especially when you’re young. There’s no one-size-fits-all answer, but here are some steps you can take to explore your options and make informed decisions:
1. Self-Reflection and Exploration
Identify Your Interests and Values: What are you passionate about? What activities do you enjoy? What kind of work environment would you thrive in? What are your core values and how do you want your work to align with them?
Consider Your Skills and Strengths: What are you good at? What skills do you enjoy using? What talents do you have that could translate into a career?
Explore Different Career Fields: Research various industries and job roles that pique your interest. Look into the day-to-day tasks, required skills, and potential career paths within each field.
Talk to People in Different Careers: Network with professionals in fields you’re interested in. Ask them about their experiences, what they enjoy about their work, and any advice they have for someone considering a similar path.
2. Career Assessments and Resources
Take Career Assessments: Online career assessments can help you identify potential career paths based on your interests, skills, and personality. Some popular options include Holland Code Career Test, Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI), and Strong Interest Inventory.
Utilize Career Counseling Services: Many schools, colleges, and community organizations offer free or low-cost career counseling services. A career counselor can help you explore your options, develop a career plan, and navigate the job search process.
Explore Online Career Resources: Websites like Indeed, LinkedIn, and Glassdoor provide valuable information about different careers, companies, and job openings.
3. Gain Experience and Build Skills
Internships and Part-Time Jobs: Gaining practical experience in different fields can help you solidify your interests and develop valuable skills. Look for internships, part-time jobs, or volunteer opportunities that align with your career goals.
Develop Relevant Skills: Take courses, workshops, or online tutorials to enhance your skills in areas that are relevant to your chosen career path. This can include technical skills, soft skills, or industry-specific knowledge.
Build Your Network: Attend industry events, connect with professionals on LinkedIn, and participate in online communities related to your interests. Networking can open doors to new opportunities and provide valuable insights.
4. Stay Open to New Possibilities
Be Flexible and Adaptable: The job market is constantly evolving, so it’s important to be open to new possibilities and willing to adapt your career path as needed.
Embrace Continuous Learning: Stay up-to-date on industry trends, develop new skills, and seek out opportunities for professional growth.
Don’t Be Afraid to Change Direction: It’s okay to change your mind or explore different career paths throughout your life. The most important thing is to find work that you’re passionate about and that aligns with your values.
