Hi Teja! That is a great career goal (and is/was mine as well)! Data Science is a huge need in today's world and having the skills and knowledge for it will go a long way. I recommend knowing Python well and taking time to really understand multiple data science models. It is important to not only know how to do the models, but know what they mean and what the outcome is. I would also recommend taking a business class or even a business minor with your degree. Part of data science, as you shared, is providing meaningful insights, but without business knowledge this can be hard to do. One of the things I am most grateful for is my duel major in business and data science. Using business knowledge and understanding to see how it connects directly to your data science models and goals will put you ahead of competitors. I wish you the best of luck and am excited for you in your career journey!
