Hi Josue!

Exciting career path! I would say there are many skills that would benefit system engineers. Often, the technical aspects are looked at primarily. Depending on whether you go down a software or hardware path, there may be differences in what you'll need to focus on. However, for anything code related, there are still companies that identify with buzzwords such as "LeetCode" ratings and such. The one benefit I see for having a good rating would be your perseverance in improving that rating as well as ability to think on the fly. Often times there are projects (especially in code / Product) that require flexibility and changing directions. Unlike school where you maybe tasked to build a very specific program, in reality, you may have to take that specific program and morph it with additional features & enhancements.

The other side of being a great systems engineer would be the business aspects. Ultimately your Customer will be the Users of whatever it is you're helping build / configure. It is important to make sure stakeholders are happy! If you can bridge the two worlds (function & technical), then you'll take your career to the next level!

- Build your baseline / credibility with certifications, ratings, etc. which will help you get your foot in the door to a Tech role
- Focus on the soft skills to listen to your Customers / Users
- Think strategically about the Product you're building to make sure it's built in a flexible manner for future upgrades / enhancements!
