Victoria’s Answer

Hi Airona,

That is a good question. Knowing the right path for you has much to do with knowing yourself. One way to do this is to pay attention to the content you enjoy in school, get involved in organizations and extracurricular activities, and participate in personal development. You can spend time exploring careers by researching them and dedicating time to talk to and shadow professionals in that profession. Check out some of the links below for ideas. I know you will do amazing things in life. Trust yourself.

Rita’s Answer

You don't know. Life is about learning and shifting as you learn.

I was watching Netflix yesterday about Tig who is a comedian. She dropped out of school in 7th grade. She was trying to find her path and she found it. You need to keep trying and learning and shifting. That's what life is all about. No one is perfect and as me make our "mistakes" or life lessons, we learn from those lessons and continue on.

When you make the "right decision," it just feels right. You enjoy what you are doing. I think Diane Sawyer said her father told her to pick a job which even if they did not pay you, you would do. The pay is just icing on the cake. Even if you make the "right decision," you are going to change and what feels right at one time may not feel right at another time and then you shift again.

Angelique’s Answer

You have to do what you like to do and be surrounded by people who appreciate your work and know your worth and the value you bring to the table. You can also have multiple interests. Try different things but at some point you have to strengthen the skills that fit your interests to enhance your career opportunities in those fields.

Sheli’s Answer

Hello Airona,

Victoria's point about aligning your interests and abilities is absolutely crucial! The assurance of being on the correct journey often comes from those who've walked the path before us. Investigate the achievements of individuals who've held the position you're eyeing and the capabilities they've honed. This can guide you in charting your own course.

Remember, there's no universal blueprint for success, and your distinct experiences may endow you with a unique qualification for the role you aspire to fill.
