Mostly any college you attend for an Associates in Nursing does not require being an LPN. The Associates Degree for Nursing is a complete program from start to finish and people enter the program with a variety of academic backgrounds and work experiences. Being a Licensed Practical Nurse is not a requirement. At the end of your Associates Program you would go for your licensing as a Registered Nurse.
When choosing a college in San Jose that offers nursing, start exploring their admissions requirements now as well as their acceptance rate and tuition so that you can compare schools and see which ones you may like. You can call the admissions offices, e-mail them or visit in person for a tour and ask questions. Another good thing to get an idea of is finding out how full the program becomes and when applications start.

Research these scholarships online to obtain the exact information.
