I would recommend developing four characterstics, to help you achieve this goal.
1. Learning. Never stop your career education. Take courses, more degrees, technical certifications, and professional certificates. The more proficient you become, the more upwardly mobile you are going to be.
2. Surround yourself with good people. Positive individuals will assist you in your career and serve as a guide in future decisions.
3. Investment. Invest your money and time in financial investments that will grow over time. Invest your time in educational goals that will assist you in meeting your future professional goals.
4. Networking. Set up a network of friends and social acquaintances, that will help with motivation and assist with transitions to new positions or careers.

Hi Grace,
This is a very insightful question and I am really glad that you are asking for advice on it.
You've been given some excellent advice from other mentors. I will share a couple of additional thoughts for your consideration.
First, try to remain vigilant with your quest to maintain a good career lifestyle because your career is an integral part of your life. And although your career doesn't completely define who you are, who you are has an important role in how you approach your career.
Secondarily, seek to gain a strong understanding of your strengths (through assessments and your own observations) and look for opportunities to utilize and refine those strengths as you increase your level of responsibilities.
And thirdly and equally importantly, remain true to yourself. Your authenticity is special and if a role doesn't feel like it supports that - let it go. There will be other opportunities that allow you to be authentically you and thus enjoy a good balance of career lifestyle.
My very best wishes to you as you continue your journey.
