Great you have a dream and are looking for ways to reach it. You've already taken the first step by identifying your dream and reaching out to others for help in reaching it.
Be sure to tell your family, relatives, neighbors and friends about your wish. You might also stop into your local McDonalds and ask if you might speak to a manager or supervisor simply to let them know about your interest and drop off your resume.
Start now, if you haven't already, to volunteer for a variety of activities. Look for one-day-events (set-up, take-down), or short-term opportunities (serving meals, handing out water) where you will be able to meet a variety of new folks and share your dream with them. These volunteer jobs can also be added to your resume to add to your skills and experiences.
With every good wish!

Hi, Edberto! It’s great to hear about your passion for working at McDonald’s! Do you have a specific role in mind, like crew member or shift manager? The great thing about McDonald’s is that it values dedication and reliability, so as long as you’re committed to doing your best, you’ll have a solid chance. When applying, be sure to tailor your resume to highlight any relevant experience or skills, even if they come from different fields. Emphasize your enthusiasm for the role and your eagerness to learn. In the interview, focus on demonstrating your strong work ethic, teamwork abilities, and commitment to customer service. Once you’re on board, be proactive in seeking feedback and always strive to enhance your skills. Always be professional and maintain a positive attitude. I’m confident that with your dedication, you’ll make a great addition to the McDonald’s team. Best of luck on your journey!
Thank you for the advice I would like to be a manager, and I still want to know how to reach this goal of mine since I would have a bigger role then being a worker at the register.

Edberto, my mom worked for McDonalds for over 25 years. She made life long friends and I grew up eating alot of McDonalds. It was a pretty great childhood!
If you want to work there and be a great employee there are a few tips I’d like to share. First and foremost, you have to apply. Some locations may do it differently. Grab a resume and go in person. Ask for a manager and ask to apply. That’s step one. After you get the job there are a few things you can do to stand out.
1. Always be on time. You’d be surprised how much people struggle with this. It’s the most basic thing you can do. It doesn’t cost you anything to always be on time yet so many people just are not on time. I never understood this.
2. Always do more than expected. Now days doing your job well is no longer enough. You have to go a little above and beyond. It’s worth it. Just remember on the goal. Getting the job is only the first goal. You’ll naturally get more goals like promotions, recognition, better shifts, stuff like that.
3. Always stay away from drama. This is more a life lesson but drama will not make things better. So just stay away from it. You’re better than that.
4. Always be positive. Days will be hard, customers will be difficult, and you’re not always going to like your boss. Don’t let that consume you! Be positive.
5. Bring back the McRib! When you start, look into that for me. I like the McRib.
Best of luck.

Common roles include crew member, cashier, cook, and shift manager. Each position has specific requirements such as age (typically at least 16 years old), availability for shifts, and sometimes prior experience in food service. Understanding these requirements will help you determine which role suits you best.
Step 2: Prepare Your Resume Even if you’re applying for an entry-level position, having a well-structured resume can make a difference. If applying in person, dress appropriately and be prepared to fill out an application on-site.
Step 4: Prepare for the Interview If your application is successful, you’ll likely be called for an interview. Research common interview questions for fast-food positions and practice your responses. Questions may include scenarios about handling difficult customers or working under pressure. Show enthusiasm for the role and express your desire to contribute positively to the team.
Step 5: Demonstrate Good Work Ethic Once hired, it’s essential to demonstrate a strong work ethic. Arrive on time for your shifts, follow instructions carefully, and maintain a positive attitude even during busy periods. Being reliable and showing initiative can lead to opportunities for advancement within the company.

I started working at a restaurant when I was 15 and it gave me some amazing experience. The best advice I can give would be to simply visit a McDonalds and ask to speak with the manager. Introduce yourself and let them know exactly what you typed here. With so many McDonald’s around, I’d bet you’ll find at least one manager who can offer you advice and guidance.
Thank you for this advice this will most definitely help.
