Hello Ade,
The best career is the one that makes you wake up every day wanting to live and make a difference. There is no one-size-fits-all answer, as each person is unique in their passions, talents, and values. The important thing is to reflect internally to discover yourself and understand what really motivates you.
Think about the following questions:
What do you love to do? What activities bring you joy and satisfaction?
What are your talents? What do you do well and easily?
What is important to you? What are your values and what do you want to achieve in life?
How do you want to impact the world? How can you contribute positively to society?
By answering these questions, you will begin to have a clearer idea of which career might be the best for you. Remember that the path to self-discovery is ongoing and can change over time. The important thing is to be open to possibilities and follow what makes your heart beat faster.
As Leandro Karnal would say, the journey of self-discovery is essential to finding your purpose and living a full life. Don’t be afraid to explore, make mistakes and learn. Each step is an opportunity for growth and to get closer to what truly makes you happy.

The best career is the one that will inspire you and one that you feel passionate about. The saying, "Do something you enjoy and it wont feel like a job." is true. It is always better to get paid for something you really enjoy, then to be stuck at a job that you are miserable in. Take the time to self reflect and find your true passions. Explore different careers and jobs by going to your local Library. Most will have programs to help you determine what you might like to do based on interests. Once you find out what those are, the job (money) will follow. Good luck and make sure to embrace the journey. Enjoy!

Hello Ade,
The path you choose truly hinges on where your passions lie. Are you considering furthering your education at a university, or are you more inclined towards mastering a specific trade?
Remember, every step you take is a step closer to your goal. Keep going!

The best career is going to be the one you enjoy. You will most likely be doing it for many years, so pick something you won't hate.
However, everyone will have a different idea of what it is. I love IT and math, so IT is a great career for me. However, I would hate working in Finance or Accounting.

The best career would be one that fulfills the things that are important to you. You can think of what you care about the most - Money, Work-life balance, sense of achievement, passion, etc. Decide which matters the most to you and you can decide from there. Of course, it always helps if you have some kind of personal interest as well as that can be the most motivating to keep going.

As you explore various career options, keep in mind that your primary goal is to land a job that ensures financial stability. Equally important is to seek employment that encourages a balanced work-life dynamic, allowing ample time for personal growth outside of your work commitments.
Finding your dream job that satisfies both your emotional needs and financial necessities is entirely possible. However, don't make this your sole focus. Losing such a job could impact not only your emotional well-being but also your financial security. Therefore, aim for a well-rounded approach, a job that meets your basic needs and also offers room for personal progression and happiness.

Hi, Ade! Choosing a profession can be an important decision, and it's important to consider various factors to find a path that suits your interests, values, and skills. Here are some tips from psychologists that will help you in this process:
1. Evaluate your interests: think about what activities you like and what subjects you are interested in.
2. Evaluate your skills: Consider your strengths and weaknesses. What are you good at? Ask for the opinion of friends and family members who know you well.
3. Define your values: Determine what is most important to you in your work. Is it job stability, creativity, helping others, or financial reward?
4.Explore different fields: Explore different professions that match your interests and skills.
5. Talk to professionals: conduct informational interviews with people involved in the profession you are interested in. Ask about their daily responsibilities, what they like about their work and what they find difficult.
6. Weigh the pros and cons: make a list of pros and cons for the career you are considering. This will help clarify your thoughts and simplify the decision-making process.
7. Listen to your intuition: sometimes intuition plays a key role in making decisions.
Ultimately, choosing the right career path is an honest assessment of your personal qualities in accordance with your professional aspirations. Most importantly, do not be afraid to seek advice when it is really necessary. Do not bring yourself to some kind of misunderstanding. You need to know everything to make the right choice.

Hi Ade! The "best career" should depend on 2 main things to get started. Then, do more research after you know the answer to these:
1. Most important: know your personality type. I highly recommend taking the MBTI personality test. This is what you take to figure out both who you are and what you want to do both in career and life in general. Once you know your personality type, research careers people with your personality type typically get! This will help you see your strengths, weaknesses and how to adapt to/overcome them, careers your type typically go into, etc. 16personalities.com is the most in-depth and main test.
2. Know the factors in WHY you think you might like something. Always ask why and look deeper into topics.
Overall, it's best to just try things out, like volunteer, join clubs, shadow professionals, etc.-- somewhere you can physically experience them, not just read about it. After looking into these factors, you can focus on more details like what you want your day to typically look like/environment, salary (know your means of living and what pay you're okay with), level of education needed, and other factors that are important to you when searching for your career.

Hey Ade,
Finding the perfect career is all about discovering what you truly enjoy! It's a personal journey that depends on your unique personality, personal narrative, and talents. Why not try the Meyers-Briggs test? It's a great tool to figure out which jobs might be a good fit for your personality. Check out this website: https://www.16personalities.com. It was a hit in our career counseling course and I personally find it accurate.

Ade, that is a fairly easy question to answer… the one that provides you with the most fulfillment and joy. Figuring out what gives you that fulfillment and joy is unfortunately much more difficult but don’t worry, there are way to find that.
You would need to start by identifying what you enjoy and what you want in life. Make a pros and cons list. That helps. You do need to realistic in this approach. Next make a list of “must haves” in your career. Again, be realistic. Making alot of money while have a great work life balance with flexibility to work from home may not be the most realistic.
This is a start. Next I would find people in some of the fields that interest you. LinkedIn can be great for this. East Way to search and then reach out to those people. Ask them questions how they got there. This may then answer additional questions and you may realize that this isn’t for you.
Check with your school, do they have programs where you can try out a few different things? Just enough to get an understanding of the subject or field.
Somethings that my friends and I have debated: how important is salary for something you enjoy? How much school am I willing to go through? Am I willing to relocate if that is better? What is the work life balance? Is this career going to expand over the next 10 years? Those were always some questions to consider.
Just please do research and do it slowly. No need to rush in this process.

Hello Ade!
Determining the Best Career
Identifying the “best” career can be subjective and varies based on individual preferences, skills, values, and market demand. However, several factors can help in assessing which careers are currently considered the best based on job outlook, salary potential, and personal fulfillment.
1. Job Outlook
A strong job outlook indicates a growing demand for professionals in that field. Careers such as Nurse Practitioners, Data Scientists, and Information Security Analysts have been highlighted for their high projected growth rates. For example:
Nurse Practitioners (NPs) have an impressive job outlook of 38% from 2022 to 2032, reflecting the increasing need for healthcare services.
Data Scientists are expected to see a job growth of 35%, driven by the rising importance of data analysis in decision-making processes across industries.
Information Security Analysts also enjoy a robust job outlook of 32%, as cybersecurity becomes increasingly critical in protecting sensitive information.
2. Salary Potential
Another crucial factor is salary potential. High median salaries often correlate with high demand and specialized skills. Some notable examples include:
Physician Assistants earn a median salary of $126,010 per year.
Software Developers can expect a median salary of $124,200 annually.
Financial Managers have a median salary of $139,790 per year.
These figures indicate that careers in healthcare, technology, and finance not only offer strong job prospects but also lucrative compensation.
3. Personal Fulfillment
While financial considerations are important, personal fulfillment plays a significant role in determining the best career for an individual. Careers that align with personal interests and values tend to lead to greater satisfaction. For instance:
Those passionate about helping others may find fulfillment as Psychologists or Social Service Managers, where they can make a positive impact on individuals’ lives.
Individuals interested in technology might thrive as Web Developers or Data Scientists, where they can innovate and solve complex problems.
Ultimately, the best career is one that balances these factors—strong job outlooks, competitive salaries, and personal satisfaction.
In conclusion, while there is no definitive answer to what constitutes the “best” career universally, fields such as healthcare (e.g., Nurse Practitioners), technology (e.g., Data Scientists), and finance (e.g., Financial Managers) are currently among the most promising based on growth projections and earning potential.
