For a long time, perhaps 30 years or so everyone dissuaded people from going into the trades. This has led to a condition where there will be a need for electricians EVERYWHERE in the U.S.

That being said, the larger cities and the west coast and northern portion of the country tends to pay the best. Which also means that there will be more competition there.

Traveling jobs usually pay a lot more as well, especially when it is part of a storm recovery.

Just learn the trade and the back end of business and you can literally do it anywhere you want. Vermont is supposed to be full of rich folks and usually you want to sell to people that have money.

Taking courses in business is as important as being a trained electrician. Cleveland and Ohio were good areas. Trades are hurting so training is easier now. Midwest areas are excellent Tim Miller
