Hi Juan:
There should be no limit on the amount of scholarships that one can apply to. It will take time to fill out the scholarship applications and provide all of the necessary required information. Also, there should no fee and no cost to fill out and submit scholarship applications. If there is a fee or cost that is associated with a scholarship application, then please do not send this particular scholarship application in. It will be a scam and money will be lost.
College and scholarship applications can start to be submitted during your Junior year and will continue throughout your Senior year in high school. It is best to ask your Academic Advisor/School Counselor on the timeline process as well. College and scholarship applications will have specific deadlines and requirements to meet in order to be submitted for review and consideration.
You may want to start to compile your resume/portfolio since a majority of college and scholarship applications will require academic grade point average (GPA), academic accomplishments, school activities (clubs, sports, etc.), community involvement (volunteer, church, etc.), academic and personal recommendations, etc. There may be essay requirements on why you are a qualified candidate to receive the scholarship and gain entry to the college of your choice, what your future goals are academically and professionally and other questions centering around who you are, your beliefs, etc.

Also, it will be best to check with the colleges and universities that you will be applying to. You can check with the School/Department of your desired major, the Campus Career Center and the Register's Office for additional information for college scholarships and grants and specific requirements for qualifications.
When reviewing colleges and universities, it is best to check the following:
- In-State vs Out of State Tuition
- Internships
- Scholarships
- Career Placement upon graduation
- Course work and offered classes
- Post-Graduate Degrees - Master and Doctoral
Good luck on the scholarships and best wishes for your education and future career goals!

Hello, Juan !
Great question ! It shows that you are insightful enough so that you are exploring scholarships now for when you would be applying for them ! There is no limit for applying for scholarships and you may apply to as many as you'd like. As a matter of fact, I always advise applying for many scholarships because the quantity can possibly up your chances for being chosen for some. So apply to as many as you would like. The same thing goes for applying for Grants.
Some things to keep in mind when applying for Scholarships and Grants are the start dates and end dates to send in your application. Most scholarships can be applied for online. There are numerous Scholarship and Grant websites that carry the information about what is available for college students and some of them invite high school seniors to apply for them, too for their next year in college. As you read the different scholarship and grant descriptions, you will be able to identify the ones that you qualify for because they are in different categories which range from where you'll be going to college (both community colleges or four year colleges), what your gender is and what your ethnicity is, your college Major, all the way to if you are the first person in your family to attend college. So there's a wide array of types, more than what I've just mentioned, and my advice is apply to all that you meet the requirements for.
You can seek Scholarships and Grants from the college that you attend, scholarships provided by your town, city or state. There are also scholarships given by large corporations and unions, sometimes. Someone who would be studying Culinary would research the grants offered by the large food companies, such a Betty Crocker and many more. It takes some time to gather the information most of which can be found online. The ones that may not be online might be possible scholarships offered by your city or county or any businesses in your local area. So it would be good to either visit or read their websites to see who offers these opportunities.
As you read the scholarship descriptions, you will see that each scholarship has a different monetary offer. I also advise to apply for both the small amounts as well as the large amounts and everything in between.
If you have anymore questions about scholarships and grants, do feel free to return here as we are always happy to help. Best wishes in your scholarship and grant search !

Setting aside time to apply for scholarships can be exponentially beneficial to you in college, as it will provide you with a monetary return for your hard work filling out applications in high school.
