What ways can I have more confidence on myself?
Hello, my name is Matias. I'm in 10 grade and I would love to pursue a career in architect. But sometimes I have struggles on being confident on myself.

It is great to have self awareness and acknowledge you may not be as confident as you want to be. I think the best ways I found in gaining more confidence is by saying yes to more things that made me uncomfortable. Even if at first it seems challenging or if you feel you aren't capable, immerse yourself into it. You will be proud of yourself, no matter the outcome.
I also believe in self positivity. Focus on your strengths and don't knock yourself and keep providing reassurance to yourself that if you set your mind in something and believe in yourself, you can achieve your goals.

Firstly I would like to say thank you for being so honest! All of us struggle with confidence at different points in our lives but not all of us are brave enough to say that is how we feel!
What we all have in common is that we are all human, with likes, dislikes, things we are good at and things we aren't. Sometimes when I am not feeling so confident I remind myself of this, the people I am speaking too are also just human!
Take sometime to write down the things you love to do and you are good at, this helps me to feel more confident! But also remembering you are not going to be good at everything and thats OK, because we are all human!

Remember that everyone has started somewhere. And whenever you start something new, you are out of your comfort zone and it is normal to feel unsure of yourself. But if you have a passion for something, like architecture, it will shine through. Look for opportunities to volunteer, or do internships and learn by doing. When I was in high school, I was not confident at all and had an emo phase. Confidence comes with time. After high school, I really focused on myself. I did things alone. I worked out more because I wanted to be healthier and to love myself more. So, I followed my advice, listed below, and became selfish. I stopped people pleasing. I allowed myself to be alone and have fewer friends.
A good way to be confident is to be authentic to yourself. Being yourself draws people in and allows you to make true friends. This draws people in because you aren't wearing this mask and hiding your amazing personality. You'll be more approachable, maybe outgoing. You only have one life. Don't hide behind a mask and live in fear. Have fun. Be yourself.
How I managed to get confident was to "fake it, till I make it." Junior year, I started living by this modo. I would act like myself and act like I was confident. Overtime, it worked and once I started to get more confident, I was able to be myself without caring about others' opinions. Once I started knowing my worth and stopped caring about others' opinions, my whole life changed for the better. This person talks behind my back. Who cares. What does that say about the other person who has nothing better to do than to talk badly about someone behind their back? It shows they insecure and are not living their best life. That's one person in a world of billions, their opinion does not define you.
This may sound harsh, but people will not remember cringey or embarrassing things you do. There are 7 billion people in the world and the world will keep moving regardless of how much you want it to stop. Say you stumble Infront of a group of people. They may laugh about it but in reality, they won't remember it forever. Everyone has their own lives and problems. The world does not revolve around you. Plus, once you finish high school everything changes for the better. In college, no one cares.
Another thing is, to be kind. Don't be a mean person. It draws people away from you and causes you to be lonelier. You never know what someone's going through and showing even a tiny bit of kindness really does go a long way. I'm not saying let people walk over you. I'm saying you can still be confident and kind throughout high school. It will be awkward and hard at first. You are trying to find out who you are as a person and what works for you. But do not pressure urself too much, some like you have to got big accomplishment in architecture. I suggest you set small goals, which could be daily or gradually-staged, and address more on how to attain them than looking into your life ideal. Matias- it is completely normal to not feel self-confident. I find that the best way to gain self-confidence begins with self-recognition. Recognizing small things in your life can go a long way to feeling confident. Another is actually taking a look at people you think are great. Whether athlete, actor, musician, businessman. Hardly anyone was great from the beginning. Tom Brady didn’t win every Super Bowl, just more than anyone else ever has. That shows he didn’t quit. Michael Jordan missed game winning shots and Emenim has been booed off a stage.
Getting back up and trying again is the definition of confidence. I believe a desire to give up just means you weren’t meant for that. Now it’s important to find something that is worth pursuing. That is worth not giving up over. That’s a calling. That’s passion.
You will still stumble along the day way, that’s okay. You are in a marathon here, not a sprint. This is going to take a long time. It is not a short term project. Find somethings that are easy for you and build repetition. Success is the leading cause of confidence.

Best way is just to put yourself out there. Do things outside of your comfort zone. It may seem intimidating and scary, but the more you do it the more confident you will be. Be confident on what you do know and be humble on what you don’t know. Don’t let the unknown prevent you from exploring, and don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t do something.
