Telling people how to improve their health.
6.) What is the most challenging/unexpected about working in this position?
One can easily overwork to burnout.
7.) How did you get into this field/position?
Uncle died at 38 years old. Later is academic supervisor started lecturing in biochemistry at our university.

Australian Commonwealth Employment Service; Newspapers.
9.) What are some possible future career paths for someone in your position?
Dietitian, Programmer.
10.) What would you advise new graduates to guide their job/career search?
Do some work with state health departments in nutrition.

I was an Associate ITS Director - managed many teams - Oracle, SQL, Load Balancer, Backup and Recovery, Linux, Malware and Ransomware
2.) Could you describe what a typical day or week looks like?
Meetings, coaching and mentoring. Ensuring I could manage up to Senior Leadership. And manage down to ensure my staff was supported and growing their careers.
3.) What populations do you primarily interact with?
Populations - we hired diversely for our roles so I was able to work well with many cultures and individuals.
4.) What types of skills and experiences are essential to be qualified for your position?
Listen more than you speak. Always admit to making a mistake. Ensure you manager knows what you are working one.
I have a Bachelor of Mathematics and Bachelor of Education to help me support my career.
5.) What do you like best about your job?
I am currently retired now. I loved the people and helping to grow careers.
Working in Diversity, Inclusion and Equity, I was able to ensure we hired the best people for the job - not based on numbers - but skills.
That did not mean having a degree, experience means more at times then education.
Education if vital though.
6.) What is the most challenging/unexpected about working in this position?
Working with people who were hostile and conflict oriented.
7.) How did you get into this field/position?
I fell into it with my degrees. I took what I had and managed to make my life complete.

I ensure I have a solid resume and covering letter.
Now, you need to ensure your resumes is unique to you - make it you and only you. Honest and do not make anything up.
Marks most times do not matter - just the degree does. I have never been asked to give a transcript for any job I applied for.
9.) What are some possible future career paths for someone in your position?
Well, I did not want it but I could have been a Partner at my company - I did not want that as I loved doing what I did at the level I was at. Senior and happy.

Be open to life and apply to what you feel fits you - do not let anyone tell you they think you should apply here.
If they do, ensure that they tell you the truth.
Look the company up online, research it. Look into it's past to see if it was purchased by another company. Learn about its past, present and future plans. Picture yourself working there and if you like it - apply and be ready to say why you are the best fit for that job.

A typical day or week involves understanding the requirements, determining the impact on various modules, designing necessary changes, implementing these changes into the code, performing unit testing, and finally, pushing the code to the CI/CD pipeline.

In the beginning, you'll primarily engage with your internal team, team leaders, module leaders, program managers, and the QA team.
4.) What skills and experiences are crucial for your position?
