I would like to major in graphic-design, but I'm not sure where to begin. I love sharing the various content I create as an active social media manager for multiple clubs. Fortunately, my school provides a multimedia design course, and I'm wondering how I may advance from this point. Potential employers will want you to demonstrate your thought process, so it's good to get a handle on talking and writing about your work now.

Also, have you considered informational interviews? Do your teachers or other adults in your life know anyone working in the industries you're looking at, such as advertising or public relations? Many pros enjoy talking to students about their career paths, and they might even be willing to look at your student work and give you some tips. Those interviews might even lead to internships later on.
