What will I do the first couple of weeks in a auto body shop work? What tools and technologies wiil we use the auto body shop? What criteria will a auto body shop look for to get promotions or raises?
I'm going to start training for auto body paint and repair and these are the questions I'm going to consider while working towards my goal.

I've never worked in a body shop but I know that body work is mostly labor. There's not a lot of highly technical things you'll need to know. For a lot of the things that go on in a body shop you'll need to develop technique as opposed to gathering a wealth of knowledge. Body shops use a lot of metalworking tools. Oxyacetylene torches, plasma cutters as well as hydraulic Porta powers. There's also a lot of sanding and polishing that goes on.
