Congrats on your Job Corps scholarship. Becoming a correctional officer requires training and where you work will determine the types of training needed. The usual options are, private, state, county (jail), and federal prisons. If your job corps offers advanced or college training you should consider continuing your training that way. This will better prepare you for the workforce once your graduate. Keep in mind you will need to maintain excellent conduct and attendance to qualify for the advanced/college trainings. Good luck. You will do well.
