Hi Gabriel - please find some points for consideration:
- Define what success means for you: what makes you happy, what keeps you motivated
- Set goals that are measurable and achievable: step by step and without stress
- Embrace learning: we know that we don’t know. Even after many years at work, learning is not a bad thing and it’s a clear responsibility
- Take initiative: analyse and question, do the current processes make sense? What can you do to improve things
- Clear communication: make sure that what you communicate has an impact, that the people you are communicating with or to, take the next actions to progress xxx things
- As you mentioned already: keep high work ethic
- Team player: hardly you can achieve all alone, make sure you give and request feedback and ensure you have a healthy network
- Invest time to reflect on lessons learned and create action plans
There is no good career without a healthy work-life balance. Aside from a good job or a role that satisfies us, remember that you have a life outside the office and you need to take care of that too.
Good wishes.

The responses to your question have been excellent, but I believe there's an aspect that hasn't been addressed yet: the subjective nature of success. It's crucial to define what success looks like for you and understand why you aspire to reach it. Some people equate success with career advancement, high income, and luxury possessions, while others value personal growth and knowledge acquisition. Success can also be as simple as deriving happiness from your job and looking forward to it each day. It's essential to set achievable goals because the pressure of success can be intense. If your targets are too ambitious or distant, you may end up feeling disheartened and lose motivation.

Great question Gabriel!
Starting your career is an exciting and pivotal time. To help you navigate this journey and set yourself up for success, focusing on routines, ethics, and mindset is key.
1. Master Your Time: The Power of Routine
* Plan Your Day: Structure is your friend. Start each day with a clear plan. Prioritize tasks, set deadlines, and allocate time for focused work. Tools like to-do lists, calendars, and time-blocking techniques can be invaluable.
* The Early Bird Advantage: While not universal, consider starting your day a bit earlier. This can provide quiet time for focused work, exercise, or personal development before the demands of the day set in.
* Embrace Breaks: Regular short breaks throughout the day can do wonders for your focus and productivity. Step away from your desk, stretch, or get some fresh air to recharge.
* Continuous Learning: The learning doesn't stop after graduation. Dedicate time each week to professional development. Read industry publications, take online courses, or attend workshops to stay sharp and expand your skills.
2. Navigate the Workplace with Integrity: Ethical Considerations
* Honesty and Transparency: Always be truthful and upfront in your interactions. Avoid gossip, and take responsibility for your actions, both successes and mistakes.
* Respect for Colleagues: Treat everyone with respect and consideration, regardless of their role or seniority. Value diverse perspectives and foster a positive and inclusive work environment.
* Confidentiality: Be mindful of sensitive information. Understand and adhere to your company's confidentiality policies.
* Professional Boundaries: Maintain a professional demeanor both online and offline. Be mindful of your social media presence and avoid engaging in activities that could damage your professional reputation.
* Work-Life Balance: While it's important to be dedicated to your career, remember to prioritize your well-being. Set boundaries between work and personal life to avoid burnout and maintain a healthy lifestyle.
3. Cultivate a Growth Mindset
* Believe in Your Abilities: Have confidence in your potential and your ability to learn and grow. Set challenging but achievable goals and celebrate your successes along the way.
* Embrace Failure: Mistakes are a part of the learning process. Don't let setbacks discourage you; instead, view them as opportunities to learn and improve.
* Persevere: The path to success is rarely straight and easy. Stay motivated and committed to your goals, even when faced with obstacles.
* Seek Feedback and Learn: Actively seek feedback from mentors, colleagues, and supervisors. Use this feedback to identify areas for improvement and develop your skills.
* Embrace Change: The world of work is constantly evolving. Be adaptable and willing to embrace new technologies, processes, and ways of working.
4. Additional Tips for Success
* Network Proactively: Build connections with colleagues, mentors, and industry professionals. Attend industry events, join professional organizations, and nurture your network.
* Seek Feedback: Don't be afraid to ask for feedback on your performance. Use constructive criticism as an opportunity for growth and development.
* Be a Team Player: Collaboration is crucial in most workplaces. Be willing to contribute, share ideas, and support your colleagues.
* Embrace Challenges: View challenges as opportunities for learning and growth. Don't shy away from taking on new responsibilities and stepping outside your comfort zone.
* Stay Positive and Resilient: Maintain a positive attitude and persevere through setbacks. Remember that career paths are rarely linear, and resilience is key to long-term success.
In short - by establishing solid routines, adhering to ethical principles, and cultivating a growth mindset, you'll create a strong foundation for career success.
Remember that continuous learning, adaptability, and a commitment to excellence will serve you well throughout your professional journey. Good luck!

Something I coach others to be aware of is the fact that you never know who is seeing you. Regardless of the job you have, put in your best effort every single day. I have been handed high paying jobs simply because someone I’ve worked in the past, saw my hand and brought me into another company.
Part of this is continually improving yourself with podcast, additional education, and finding a mentor who is willing to invest in you.
