is it possible that as a 16 year old without a work permit can get a job if so how and what are the steps?

I am currently in the 10th grade interested in computer science and coding but don't know how to start. It would be greatly appreciated if anyone doesn't mind giving me a few pointers and guidance.

What kind of colleges should I be looking at if I want to major in psychology? I am only in 9th grade so I still have a lot of time to figure it all out.

I have been doing undergraduate research all summer and this job is too unorganized and too isolated for me to feel satisfied. I am a material science & engineering major with a passion for doing something good in the world but I don't know how I want to do that good.
