Sheila’s Answer

Hi Issaih:

I recommend that you check with your guidance counselor. They have resources and access to information that you may or not be privy to. Start by scheduling a meeting with your guidance counselor and discuss your passion. You'll want to research your career options and seek out colleges that have programs you are passionate about. I wish you much success on your journey. Best of luck to you!

Shana’s Answer

Hi Issaih. If your school has a guidance counsellor or career counsellor, that's a great place to start. They are there to help students just like you find out their future paths. A lot of schools hold career or job fairs; if your school does that, go and see different employers and ask them what they have to offer. It's also important to understand yourself - what are you interested in? What's going to make you happy and allow you to earn a decent salary?

A lot of colleges offer counselling before you become a student so if there is a college in your area that you can visit, that's a great avenue, too.

I'd advise taking one of the well known Myers-Briggs tests. These tests are specifically designed to take into account both your intellectual skills as well as your interests/hobbies to suggest something you would both excel at and enjoy.
Best of Luck! - Callie -
