Hey Blair!

I just checked out your TikTok (@hayat_.design_), and WOW—you’ve got some serious creative sparks flying! For a beginner, you're already showing a strong eye for aesthetics, a bold sense of style, and a knack for composition. That’s HUGE. You’ve got natural talent, and with the right tools and practice, you’ll be unstoppable! I mean I couldn't tell how to make new colors when I first attended my painting course (my canvas turned black-too much black) yep!

So after watching them with an artist by my side here is what we can tell and really hope it helps. If you want to know anything else do let me know!

1. Creativity & Vision – You already think outside the box! Keep pushing boundaries, mix styles, experiment with bold colors, shapes, and textures. The best designers break rules (but know them first 😉).

2. Attention to Detail – I can tell you don’t just throw things together; you craft them. Now, sharpen that skill by studying architecture and fashion in-depth. Notice how light, movement, and form work together.

3. Consistency & Growth – You’re posting, which is key! But also document your progress. Try a "Before & After" series, redoing an old design with your newer, sharper skills. Trust me, seeing your growth side by side will blow your mind.

4. Digital Design Tools – If you aren’t already, start learning SketchUp, AutoCAD, Blender (for architecture), and Clo3D or Adobe Illustrator (for fashion). They’ll make your designs pro-level and set you apart.

5. Inspiration & Research – Follow top designers, visit exhibitions (even virtually), and analyze why something “looks right” in both architecture and fashion. Trends are cool, but mastering timeless design principles will make you LEGENDARY.

Now my wisdom🧐🤓: Design isn’t just a skill—it’s a superpower. You get to shape how people see, feel, and experience the world. Keep learning, keep experimenting, and most importantly—keep having fun with it. Every great designer started with sketches that looked like spaghetti at some point. The difference is that They just kept going.

So, Blair, keep creating, keep pushing, and keep proving that you're a future design ICON. 🚀🔥✨

P.S. If anyone ever doubts your skills, just say, “I’m building an empire. You’ll see.” 😏💅

All the best stay amazing Blair!

Hi! Recent graduate from a 5-year Bachelor of Architecture program here. LOVE the drawings that you've posted! Those skills will definitely be useful should you choose to pursue art of architecture school in the future. It is especially exciting to see your fashion design drawings too - even in job applications, people sometimes display other personal art or interests that they may have, and that definitely includes fashion design!

My recommendation - keep track/digitize everything!!!! That includes the process work or sketches. Make sure that you take the time to scan things, not just take pictures of them, so that you have professional-looking digital resources that showcase your skills. Having a strong portfolio for applying to schools (if you are interested in that) is so important and can give you the advantage over other applicants. You can even make a portfolio website using resources such as Issuu (a very popular portfolio website builder for architects), Canva, Adobe Portfolio, or another source.

On the same vein of digitizing everything, start a LinkedIn if you haven't already. That way, you can start building up posts about professional experiences that you have participated in to showcase your dedication to/interest in learning and improving to potential employers and schools. You can also put that portfolio website link on your LinkedIn profile!

You are already amazing, and I am excited for you!!!! Keep up the hard work Blair!
